12/18/2020 0 Comments Winter Holidays Project-Metallic BowI chose to draw a metallic bow with colored pencils. I wanted it to look more shiny but with the time and products I had(and didn't) it was difficult. I'm impressed I was able to get it as realistic as I did. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

12/17/2020 0 Comments Collage PostThis artwork I really had to envision what I wanted it to look like. I knew I wanted black, white, and silver as my colors. I cut apart my dance magazine. I also had to engage and persist because for awhile I did not like how it was turning out. I trusted the process and kept adding stuff, and in the end it turned out cool.
12/11/2020 0 Comments Artist Statement- Landscape PaintingMy painting is of Itasca State Park at the headwaters. There are rocks with moss on them separating a lake and the Mississippi. There is some dry grass in the back. The treeline is behind the grass. There is a big rock making a small waterfall. I started a sketch on paper, then on a canvas. I used acrylic paint. I took a photograph in Itasca and replicated it in a painting. Its special to me because I went there with my grandparents and sister. My goals for this artwork was to get it fairly realistic. I also wanted to add a bunch of detail. I really liked the way my artwork turned out. There definitely were some mistakes that I tried to fix, but overall I love how it turned out.
12/7/2020 0 Comments Landscape PaintingI put my reference photo in my last blog post. Since then I have gotten 3/4 of the way through my painting. I'm working on the more intricate details. My two studio habits I have been working on is observing and developing craft. I'm observing by focusing on the small details, and developing craft by learning new techniques.
